Are you looking to rehab a house to live in or to flip? The City of Dayton has several incentive programs that can help.
MULTI-FAMILY CONVERSION GRANT
The purpose of this grant is to reimburse the homeowner for the expenses incurred when a two-family residence is converted to a single family or a multi-family is reduced to a two-family residence. This program can provide up to $1,500 to help with the conversion.
Off-Street Parking Assistance Program
The City of Dayton’s Off-Street Parking Assistant Program is available to residential property owners who add new off-street parking spaces on their properties. The spaces must be paved and access must be from an alley at the rear of the property. The grant award is $500.00 per additional parking space with a maximum of $1,000 for two additional parking spaces.
Property Tax Assessment Moratorium
The City of Dayton offers a Property Tax Assessment Moratorium program that allows property owners to defer the value of building improvements from taxable assessment for a maximum period of five years. This moratorium applies to only the City of Dayton Property Tax and the structure needs to be at least 25 years old and applies both to buildings used for commercial business or existing residential units.
