We continue to be so proud of our students for their hard work and many accomplishments. During the month of March, our students worked hard to meet their individual and school-wide goals. We were thrilled to recognize these academic accomplishments during our recent 3rd Quarter Recognition Assembly held on Friday, March 31st. During this exciting assembly, we recognized students for the following accomplishments: Accelerated Reader (AR) individual and school-wide goal setters, MAP goal setters, A/B Honor roll and Super Honor Roll recipients, Math Facts in a Flash winners, students with 3rd quarter perfect attendance, and greendevil behavior award winners. It is always an honor to recognize students for working hard and doing the right things, and we will strive to continue these recognition traditions in the future.
We are also proud of our students who have been working hard outside of the classroom. Many of our after-school clubs earned some prestigious honors in March as well. Our LES Robotics Teams competed in the regional tournament in March with three teams’ strong performances earning them the privilege to move onto the statewide competition on April 12th. Several of our LES students also participated in the recent 16th Annual Queen City Classic Chess Tournament. The grade level teams walked away with many trophies proving their amazing chess skills! Please remember that these opportunities for our students are made possible by the many volunteer hours donated by our dedicated LES staff members, and also through our strong partnerships with some amazing organizations.
Please put the dates Friday, April 21st and Saturday, April 22nd on your calendars. On these dates, our LES/DHS Drama Club members will be presenting the play “The Little Mermaid”. This group of students has been working tirelessly the last few months to prepare for these performances. Your support for their work through your attendance at the show would be greatly appreciated!
Although it is hard to believe that we are already in our fourth and final quarter of the school year, we look forward to these last two school months ahead knowing that our students will continue to work hard to meet more of their individual goals, as well as our school goals. We want to extend our invitation for you to stop by Lincoln to witness all of the great things taking place and to offer your time and talents to our students and staff. We welcome you!
