Do as we do and as we say
The New Year is upon us! Many of us are working on new year resolutions to become a better person and have better health in 2018. One of those resolutions may be joining the church of your choice, and renewing your faith in God. This can be a very difficult decision for some, as they may choose to worship from home and on their own time. Those that attend church with regularity don’t understand this decision.
Those that attend find such a feeling of warmth from being in God’s home and they enjoy the fellowship of their church families. How could anyone not want to experience this? The answer is simple; many see church goers as Hypocrites! They are disenchanted with church, but calling us Hypocrites? How can this be?
Many church goers are good talkers, they say the right things. Words can sound pretty and paint a beautiful picture. You can’t just say the words. Actions must follow. If you talk the talk, you must walk the walk! The things God asks us to do are not easy: be humble, do good, don’t ask for praise. You must help others to see Christ and not just hear the talk. The Power of Christ is not just in words. We must apply what the words say. In other words, Practice what you Preach!
Remember, someone is always watching you. Set a good example. Don’t let bad days get you down. It’s about the little things we do that matter. Go out into the world and be a doer, not a hypocrite. Walk the walk by letting God’s love show through you in all that you do.
All love and health be to you and your family in the coming year. May you make resolutions that are right for you and that you have the power to carry through.
