Easter Egg Hunt 2017 - Summary

5/9/2017

What a wonderful day for an Easter Egg Hunt!  The Dayton Civic Club and the citizens of Dayton could not have asked for a better day.  The sun was shining, the air was warm and Easter eggs were everywhere.  We had a great day and it's always a whole lot of fun hosting the annual Easter event for our children.  We hope everyone enjoyed the day as much as we did.

The day started with the arrival of the Easter Bunny (Cam Miller) via the Bellevue-Dayton Fire Department.  We couldn't have asked for a better bunny! Cam came in dancing and waving and sat for pictures with all the kids.  He was also the last one to leave the park that day, spending some extra time in the playground area with the kids that remained.  What dedication and a true love for the kids of Dayton.  Thank you Cam!

We would like to thank the following volunteers and workers who helped us prepare for this event, Dave Rogg Jr., Bob Slusher, Lisa Seyberth, Becky Mays, Vickie Ballard, Kimmie Ballard, Shay Ballard, Mike Lenz, Jane Hebel, Amber Menning, Ben Baker, “SherryfromChurch” Chatman, Bill Burns, Virgil Boruske, Julie Richardson, Tiffany Gifford, Nathan Gifford, Craig Cornett, Kenzie Gifford, Madison Gifford, Mehgan Seyberth, Paula Asche, Jessica Lovins, Faith Kelly, Casey Chenot, Gabrielle Leger and Hailey Leger,     We couldn't do any of this without the help and dedication of these individuals, as after all, about 3,800 eggs were stuffed and hidden throughout the park, a job that would have taken forever without all of you!

The Dayton Civic Club would like to personally thank Shane Snyder of the City Public Works Department for his outstanding help with everything.  Shane is always there for us when needed and we all appreciate his dedication to the community.  Also, we want to send a special thank you to Councilman Bill Burns and his wife Ginny for their special donation of candy.  Bill and Ginny, always, and I mean always, come through for each event with a special donation and for that we are eternally grateful. Thanks for your support! Thank you everyone!
