The counseling department is working on scheduling. If any parent/guardian wants to be a part of their child's scheduling process, please email Ms. Wendeln or Ms. Erdman or call the Dayton High School front office. A letter along with a schedule template has been posted on the school website for you to view. Be on the look-out for Gateway, NKU, Vocational School, and Logistics informational sessions in the upcoming months.
Senior parents, please make sure you are reminding your students to check their email for scholarship opportunities and come to the guidance office for other opportunities not via email. Also, we will start giving out information for Dayton specific scholarships soon.
The Dayton Youth Services Center thanks all the students, parents and staff for completing our needs assessments to assist with our renewal grant. A special thank you to Cinderella’s Closet for everything they do for our 11th and 12th grade girls for prom. Cinderella’s Closet visited Dayton High School to encourage our students to take advantage of this amazing opportunity. Each participant will shop for the perfect dress. A reminder - the Dayton High School Food Pantry is open to all Dayton families by contacting Ms. Harris at 859-292-7486 to schedule an appointment or visiting between 3:00 - 5:00 pm the second and fourth Thursday of the month.
Winter sports have come to an end. Both the varsity boys and girls picked up a double digit win record - with victories over Bellevue! Johnessah Barbiea and Braiden Comstock both earned District All-Tournament team awards.
All-Conference awards were presented to Sophia Halfhill and Johnessah Barbiea on the girls end and Lorenzo Price and Jordan Marksberry on the boys end. Cody Turner was named the conference "Mr. Hustle" for his relentless efforts on the defensive end of the ball.
Rachel Holaday qualified for the state bowling tournament and represented Dayton proudly with games of 180 and also 222! We hosted the first ever bowling tournament and also had our inaugural season of Unified bowling. We just keep growing!
We are moving on to spring sports. Stay tuned!!
It is great to be a Greendevil!
