The Class of 2018 is One to Remember!
As the 2017 -2018 school year comes to an end and the 128th graduating class of 2018 grows forward to life’s next journey, I want to take a moment and reflect on the amazing accomplishments of this Senior Class.
In the six years that this class was at DMS/DHS, the following was accomplished:
We greatly appreciate our Seniors living out our mission to be Inspired, to be Engaged, and to be willing to always Grow!
We wish you the very best along life's journey! And as the Dayton High School Alma Mater says:
After we leave your halls,
Pass from your sheltering walls,
Still, while the warm world calls,
We'll think of you.
Proudly serving as Superintendent of Dayton Independent Schools
Congratulations to the Dayton High School Class of 2018 on their college, career and military readiness.
Dayton High School's Summer Learning Program is titled the "Globetrotter's Club". Students in upcoming grades 7th - 11th were invited by special invitation during the last week of school (spaces are limited). The Globetrotter’s Club is a free program that will run from June 11 through July 6, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. until 11:15 a.m. Students will be immersed into a new cultural experience through exciting activities and field trips. There will also be three interactive presentations called the Global Classroom, which are provided by the World Affairs Council (WAC) of Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. The WAC will bring native experts from three different world regions to discuss life in their countries and to complete crafts native to the area the speaker is from. Then students will have the amazing opportunity to compete for one of the top three prizes by presenting their culminating activity to judges from the WAC, providing an authentic audience for Dayton’s students.
