The Easter season is upon us; a time for fancy dresses, colored eggs, the Easter Bunny and baskets filled with candy. But there is much more to Easter Day than this. Easter is the day that Jesus arose from the dead. It is a day of celebration where we learned that we all go on to eternal life in the Kingdom of heaven.
Life on Earth is not all there is. We are all here a short amount of time, some longer than others. Our loved ones leave and we are sad and miss them, but we need to remember that Jesus died for our sins paying our penalty so that we would be forgiven. He was resurrected to prove death has no hold on those who repent and accept Him as their savior.
Life here on earth simply prepares us for the unconditional acceptance and joy that we will experience in Gods eternal kingdom. When a loved one leaves you, try to not focus on the sadness but celebrate their entrance into Heaven where they will have eternal life. We will all be separated in our earthly lives, but will be reunited again in our heavenly lives.
On this Easter and all days to follow, ask for forgiveness for your sins and accept Jesus as your Savior. Easter is a celebration of our eternal destiny. Remember this and go in peace and grace. Never say goodbye, but see you later.
